Preliminary Round Format

Three Rounds Decide Who Advances

Every division runs the same three-part preliminary format on Day 1, before finals on Day 2.

1

Team Round

  • Online or paper
  • Multiple choice, answered together as a team
2

Individual Round

  • Online or paper, multiple choice
  • Each participant answers alone, so every student’s own knowledge counts — teammates’ scores are then averaged together
3

Kahoot Round

  • Live, on-screen Kahoot session

Final score = average of all 3 rounds · Top 5 per division advance to Sunday’s finals
